What is Your Love Strategy?

This Sunday, clerk pastor Ken Comfort will share a message inspired by a prayer of Saint Francis. The prayer reads:

Saint Francis

LORD, make me an instrument of Your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled, as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.

Amen.

The scripture reading comes from 1 Corinthians 14:20:

Brothers and sisters, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults. (TNIV)

Praise band leader Karl Hutchinson is out this week; we will be singing exclusively hymns this Sunday. Below is a list of those hymns (you can read the lyrics by clicking on the hymn title):

Jesus, The Very Thought of TheeHigher GroundLet God be God, and Eternal Life (lyrics are the above contents of Saint Francis Prayer).

We hope to see you on Sunday!
