Cultivating Awareness of Our Children
In Luke’s account of Jesus’ life and ministry, we find an intriguing interaction between Christ, his followers, and families with Children. The text reads:
People were bringing even infants to [Jesus] that he might touch them; and when the disciples saw it, they sternly ordered them not to do it. But Jesus called for them and said, ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it.’
This week in Meeting for Worship, we will be looking at how Christ cultivated an awareness of children on this occasion (also recorded in Matt. 19:13-15 and Mark 10:13-16).
How do we “make room” for Children to be an active part of our community?
How have we/I committed to the spiritual growth and development of our Children at Reedwood (Prov. 22:6)?
