It’s the first Sunday of the month and that means that the kiddos will be joining us in the main gathering as we celebrate the Christmas season! We’ve planned a special morning that includes some fun songs, a christmas story, and some singing from the children’s choir.
Karl Hutchinson will lead the community in singing This Little Light of Mine, Once In Royal King David’s City, and The Friendly Beasts. This week, for kids young and old, we’ll have some percussion instruments to play along with Karl. After the worship songs, the children’s choir will sing two songs: Unchanging and O Come Let Us Adore Him. You won’t want to miss it.
Pastor of Student Ministries Brandon Baker will be reading The Littlest Christmas Tree by Janie Jasin, a story about growing and becoming. We will also project the pages up on the video screen for all of those remaining in the pews to follow along. Everyone is invited to engage in the queries that follow the story.
The adult choir will be presenting Carols of Hope and Light, a song from the upcoming Christmas cantata on December 11 (visit our Christmas Season Events page for more details!). Shirley Brendlinger will close Open Worship with What Child is This, Who Laid to Rest? on the piano. We’d be glad to see you this Sunday at 9:30am!
Also, don’t forget about Sing Along Messiah this Sunday evening at 6:30pm!
